Why Grow locally?

All of the surveys that have been done in the last few years have found a heavy demand for locally grown produce. This is a market waiting to be filled, there is money to be made.

There is more help and support than ever before for small start up horticultural enterprises, grants, training and a support network of like minded people

Businesses and groups are already making a success of similar ventures elsewhere so there is a wealth of experience to build on.

The North West Sutherland Producer Group is an affiliate of the Food Link.

Benefits of joining the Producer Group are;

• Sell your produce on the Food Link market stall.

• Subsidised training,

• Help with marketing ,

• Support from a Community of  Growers.

Membership of the Producers Group costs £10 annually and runs from May to April.
